Gomez Honored with Rays June Pitcher of the Month Nod
Righty went 5-0 with a 1.34 ERA in six June starts
Bowling Green, KY The Bowling Green Hot Rods, in conjunction with the Tampa Bay Rays, announce that right-handed pitcher Roberto Gomez has been named the Rays Minor League Pitcher of the Month in June. The Hot Rods, who were 6-0 in games started by Gomez in the month, were benefited by the 22-year-old Dominican's 5-0 June record with a 1.34 ERA.
