BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — After a tough extra-inning loss on the road Tuesday at Tennessee, the Western Kentucky University baseball team looks to return to the win column this weekend when its host Southern Illinois for a three-game series at Nick Denes Field. Game times are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
WKU (1-3) saw Tennessee rally from single-run deficits in the ninth and twelfth innings before coming away with the 8-7 victory in the 13th on a sacrifice fly by third baseman Davis Morgan. The game lasted 4 hours and 48 minutes and is the longest game for the Hilltoppers since 1999.
Live stats and audio will also be available for each game on WKUSports.com. The WKU broadcast with Randy Lee and Scott Thompson (play-by-play) can be heard throughout the weekend on the Hilltopper IMG Sports Network
