Beloit, WI - Taylor Motter had two more hits on Friday night in Beloit, but they were not enough to avoid a Beloit Snappers (12-10) 6-3 win over the Bowling Green Hot Rods (13-9) that secured the Snappers' three-game sweep. Tyler Goeddel contributed with a late RBI-double, and Cameron Seitzer also drove in a run.
Bowling Green struck first on Friday evening, scoring two times in the top of the first. After leading the game off with a single, Ryan Brett scored from first base on a Todd Glaesmann single and error on Snapper left fielder J.D. Williams. Later in the inning with two outs, Seitzer remained locked-in at the plate when he drove home Glaesmann with a two-out single to centerfield. The lead, however, was immediately grabbed back by the Snappers, who scored two in their half of the first.

Beloit took advantage of a Tyler Goeddel error with two outs in the bottom of the sixth and went on to score three unearned runs in the inning off of Hot Rods reliever Justin Woodall. The Hot Rods bats were quiet the rest of the way as the team managed just four hits after a first inning that featured four Hot Rods base knocks.

The Snappers' sweep over the Hot Rods is the first time the team has been swept since September of last season when Bowling Green was beaten in three straight in Lake County. It is the second three-game losing streak of the season for the Hot Rods, who lost three in-a-row in a stretch from April 7-10 earlier this season.

Continuing the nine-game road trip, the Hot Rods head north to Appleton, WI to begin a three-game set with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Saturday night at 6:35 PM CDT. Making the spot start for the Hot Rods is RHP Trevor Shull (0-0, 6.30). The Timber Rattlers will give the start to RHP Mark Williams (0-2, 4.64).
