BROOKSVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky State Police have released the identities of five family people killed in a house fire in northern Kentucky.
Trooper David Jones says 35-year-old Rani Doss, 16-year-old Dylan Eldred, 13-year-old Michael Doss, and Emily and Bradley Doss, both 6, died Saturday in Powersville, a community outside of Brooksville in Bracken County.
Jones says 45-year-old Keith Doss survived the fire and remained in the University of Cincinnati Hospital on Monday. Two others, Stephen Werber and 29-year-old Sheila Werber of Powersville, also survived the blaze and were out of the hospital.
Jones says firefighters were called to the house at 3:45 a.m. Saturday. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
Brooksville is about 45 miles southeast of Cincinnati.
BROOKSVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating the cause of a house fire in northern Kentucky that killed five people.
Two bodies were removed Saturday morning from the scene of the overnight fire at a two-story home in Powersville, a community outside of Brooksville in Bracken County, officials said.
Three more bodies were found in the rubble later Saturday. The ages and names of the victims have not been released.
Neighbor Michael Thomas says the victims were a woman and four children.
One man survived the fire and was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was in stable condition.
Kentucky State Police spokesman David Jones did not immediately return a call to The Associated Press on Sunday.
