Hundreds came out to support the walk and the mission of raising money for The Buddy House. Besides the walk, there were awards handed out and a dance performance by the "Rockerz". For some, it was their first time at the Buddy Walk, but certainly not their last.
"The fact that I've missed all these occasions, I'm definitely going to make sure next year, I'm totally involved with this program. We'll sponsor a team." reflected Doris Miller, who has a daughter with Down Syndrome.
Our own Chris Allen MC-ed the event and had the honor of announcing this years fund raising totals. The winning team collected more than 13,000 dollars; and all the teams combined to raise around 50,000 dollars.
