Family Celebrates Birthday for Missing Teen

RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) -- The family of a central Kentucky teenager missing since June marked her 19th birthday with a cookout and hopes that the girl will soon be found.

The teen's birthday was Monday.

Brookelyn Farthing's stepfather, Randall Walker says the family wants answers about what happened on June 22, the last time Farthing was seen.

Farthing disappeared following a suspicious house fire in Berea. Authorities have searched more than 16,000 acres in three Kentucky counties for the teen.

Kentucky State Police say they receive tips regularly about Farthing's disappearance and follow up on all leads.
