Franklin Man Hurt in Hammer Attack

Police have arrested a Franklin man, for allegedly attacking another man with a hammer.

FRANKLIN, Ky (WBKO) -- Police have arrested a Franklin man, for allegedly attacking another man with a hammer.

Franklin police say they were called when a man showed up at the hospital on Monday night around 10:30, with severe head trauma.

The victim told police he'd been assaulted by 44-year-old Lee Eleming.

According to the victim, he was visiting Fleming's apartment on Akin Avenue.

Suddenly in the middle of a conversation, the victim says Fleming hit him several times in the head with a hammer.

Police went to the apartment and immediately saw blood by the front door.

Fleming refused to answer the door, so police went inside with a warrant.

Police say he was arrested, and they found a hammer, along with bloody clothes inside the apartment.
