LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Friends and family of a central Kentucky man last seen Dec. 20 have turned to social media in their quest to find the missing University of Kentucky chef.

The Facebook page FindAlexJohnson went live last week and had garnered nearly 5,000 likes by Sunday evening. The page is dedicated to finding 32-year-old Alex Johnson of Lexington, who hasn't been heard from since ending a phone call with his girlfriend to answer the door at his home.

Johnson's sister, Cayce Johnson says the page has helped spread the word of the disappearance to nearly 80,000 people.

The Lexington police department is investigating the disappearance. It had no update Sunday.
