Mike Caudill was a public servant for Warren County for more than a quarter century.

Caudill passed away this weekend as result of a stroke.

"I'm sorry that Mike's health didn't hold up for him. It's a loss to his family, to his children. It's a loss to the community. Mike was a good member to this community, and a beneficial member to the community, the many years he served it," said long time friend, attorney David Broderick.

Caudill's daughter spoke out today about her father.

Elizabeth Caudill said he touched a lot of people's lives, that he was a great father with a great sense of humor, and that he did a lot for the community.

None is more evident than the work he did to get the Justice Center built in Bowling Green.

"That's one of the things that over the course of the years, he and I talked about how proud he was of his participation and making sure the Justice Center was built," said Warren County Judge/Executive Mike Buchanon.

"Well he really didn't get the credit he should have for the Justice Center. He and Judge Buchanon probably single handedly did all the leg work, and all of the behind the scenes work to get the justice center built," said Broderick.

Broderick says his memory will live on for him and the community.

"As a close personal friend, I've got a lot of good memories. That's what I'll hold onto. For Warren County, I think Warren County benefited from him that he was a public servant that expended a lot of his time and effort way beyond the call of duty. I think that's how he should be remembered," said Broderick.
