GLASGOW, Ky (WBKO) -- Glasgow Police are releasing little information about an officer accidentally firing a gun.

Police say they are investigating an incident where an unnamed officer discharged a weapon on July 14.

While they haven't given any details about the accident, police say no one was hurt when the gun went off.

Police plan to release more information when the investigation is complete.

In a similar situation earlier this year, Glasgow Police Officer Darrell Smith shot himself in the hand while looking at a gun at Barren Outdoors.

No one else was hurt in that accident.
