KY Man Gets 2 Years in Jail for Grave Theft

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (AP) -- An eastern Kentucky man has been sentenced to two years in jail for stealing from a grave.

Floyd County Circuit Judge John David Caudill also scolded Randall Vickers for the theft, telling him there's "no excuse for this."

Caudill told Vickers, "Shame on you, but there's no shame in you."

Vickers pleaded guilty last month to stealing from the grave of 19-year-old Anthony Osborne in Floyd County. He was sentenced Tuesday.

Osborne's mother says she hopes she can now pay respects at her son's grave.

Leaving Osborne just hoping she can now pay her respects at her son's gravesite.

Vickers was taken back to the Floyd County Jail to finish out his sentence.
