The nice afternoon made for some competitive racing and a chance for families to get out and have some fun. Not everyone was lucky at the track but we caught up with a few winners who knew their strategy.

"I picked by the name." said Third Grader Lillia Williams

"I picked by the color and how it runs." stated Bella Victory-Fox, who is also in the third grade.

Kentucky Downs will have six days of racing in 2012. The meets will be held on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays until the 19th of September.
