A man acquitted for a deadly dorm fire at Murray State University is back in court facing tampering with evidence charges.
A judge ruled Friday the charges against Jerry Walker Jr. would stand.
The charges relate to six anonymous letters that were used as evidence at the July trial where Walker was found not guilty of arson and other charges related to the September 1998 fire.
Walker's attorney had argued that too much time had passed since the letters were written.
The judge said the law would not allow him to dismiss the case.
