This year's Penguin Plunge to benefit Junior Achievement is hoped to be the biggest one yet.
At a press conference Tuesday morning, Junior Achievement Director, Heather Rogers said "The initial shock of the water is what gets you, when you jump in. But after a few seconds you're okay."
The event is planned to take place on Saturday, March 2 at 10:30 AM, just outside the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green. Individuals and teams need to raise $50 to be able to jump into the outdoor pool that's provided by Aqualand Pools and Spas. Contestants are encouraged to wear costumes, as they will be judged during a parade. There will also be an award given to the individual who raises the most money.
