The agency says 62 new troopers will graduate and be commissioned during a ceremony at 11 a.m. EST at Frankfort Convention Center.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- The latest group of Kentucky State Police cadets will graduate Tuesday in Frankfort.

The agency says 62 new troopers will graduate and be commissioned during a ceremony at 11 a.m. EST at Frankfort Convention Center.

Lt. Gov. Jerry Abramson, Court of Appeals Judge Sara W. Combs and state police Commissioner Rodney Brewer are expected for the event.

The cadets are finishing 23 weeks of training during which they were expected to complete more than 1,000 hours of classroom and field study on subjects such as high-speed vehicle pursuit, armed robbery response, bomb threats, crowd control and domestic violence.
