Congressman Hal Rogers said water levels at Lake Cumberland will be higher next summer, easing strains on local businesses.

This week, Rogers said that lake levels could go up by as much as 10 feet as the busy season approaches.

Officials lowered the water line by 43 feet to ease pressure on the leaking Wolf Creek Dam near Jamestown.

Rogers added that he met with the Corps of Engineers on Sept. 27.

He said repairs at the massive dam are also on track.
