In order to get troopers closer to home, some people are being moved around. Jeff Hancock has been post commander in Bowling Green since 1999. He lives near Russell County and commutes nearly an hour and a half to work.
He will soon take over as commander of the Columbia post in order to be closer to home.
Wayne Mayfield from the Drug Control Section will take over as commander in Bowling Green.
