Federal consumer safety officials are investigating a bassinet design made by Simplicity after the death of a four-month-old baby in Missouri.
Authorities say the infant slipped out of the side of her bassinet feet first.
She then became trapped with her chest in a 4-inch gap between the railing and the top of the mattress.
The coroner called the death an "accidental" asphyxiation.
The bassinet model is a "Simplicity 4-in-1."
It was not part of the September recall of one-million other baby beds made by Simplicity.
