Area residents, policemen, and firefighters filled Bowling Green's fire station to pay tribute to those that lost their lives on a day that will be etched in our memories for years to come.
At the ceremony a ball rang at the time when the first and second towers were hit, a flag was lowered to half staff, and members of the community spoke.
Firefighters and policemen discussed how their jobs have changed in the past year as more and more people are showing their appreciation for their help. Bowling Green's Fire Chief also reminded us that 343 firefighters lost their lives at the attacks.
