Boy Who Called 911 After Mother Killed Will Live With Father

A nine-year-old who called 911 to report that his mother and grandmother had been fatally shot will be reunited with his biological father.

A Hardin County family court judge awarded custody of the boy, Matthew Pete, to his father, Michael Pete.

Matthew called 911 on September 12 to report that his mother, 31-year-old Tracy Burke, and her former mother-in-law, 53-year-old Karen Comer, had been killed the night before at Comer's Rineyville home.

Burke's estranged husband Brent Burke has been charged with the women's murders.

The fate of Matthew's two other siblings remains unclear.
