Mother and Son Charged With TennCare Fraud

A Bowling Green man admits to crossing the state line to illegally obtain TennCare benefits and investigators say his mother did the same thing.

Twenty-two-year-old Edward Dixon of Bowling Green pleaded guilty to TennCare fraud and theft of services.

Dixon claimed to be a resident of Cheatham County, Tenn. in order to qualify for TennCare and received more than $5,000 in benefits.

He was sentenced to four years probation and has to pay more than $5,000 in restitution.

Back in August, Dixon's mother, Nancy, also claimed to live in Tennessee to obtain TennCare benefits.

She pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four years probation and ordered to pay more than $4,000 in restitution.
