Suspected Cop Killer Back in Custody

A suspected cop killer in Florida is now back in custody.

Michael Mazza was arrested at a pawn shop in Hollywood, Florida about four hours after the shooting death of 76-year-old deputy Paul Rein.

Mazza had been serving two life sentences for armed robbery.

Authorities believe he may have had accomplices who ambushed the deputy.

"Unfortunately, the BSO has suffered another catastrophic tragedy this morning. I'm sad to report we've lost another deputy. Deputy Paul rein. He's a 20-year veteran of the Broward Sheriff's Office," said Sheriff Al Lamberti, with the Broward County Sheriff's Office

The deputy is the fourth south Florida law enforcement officer and the third Broward County deputy to be shot in the last three months.
