A Glasgow man accused of trying to run over a Bowling Green police officer last month is now behind bars.
68-year-old William Forrest Geiger is charged with attempted murder.
Authorities say he tried to run over Officer Robert Perry outside Motel 6 on Scottsville Rd. the morning of Oct. 13.
Officer Perry fired his gun once at the vehicle, striking Geiger in the abdomen.
A pursuit followed down Three Springs Rd. until police used stop sticks to deflate two of Geiger's tires.
Geiger was taken to Vanderbilt Hospital where he was released Nov. 7 and brought to the Warren County Regional Jail
