Residents of Glasgow hope a new road project will help ease the traffic congestion on the square, as part of the new Veterans Outer Loop will soon be opened to the public.
The former mayor, Charles Honeycutt, began the planning stages in the nineties, and the city broke ground for the project two years ago.
Now the $11 million project, which connects U.S. 31E and KY 90, is complete, and after a few finishing touches, should be open in a few weeks.
An adjacent section of the loop connecting KY90 and US 68 is scheduled to be completed in July.
