Program Helps Bring Soldiers Home for Christmas

More than 100 Kentucky soldiers, including some from the Bowling Green area, will be able to come home in time for Christmas thanks to some generous donations.

Earlier this month, 136 soldiers from the 438 Military Police company left for training in Fort Dix, New Jersey.

The soldiers will be training until the first of the year, before being sent to Iraq.

A program called "Bring a Soldier Home" is helping the soldiers come home over the Christmas holiday.

More than $25,000 has been raised to pay the soldiers travel expenses.
