Georgia Man Involved in Barren County Burglary

A Georgia man is behind bars in Barren County after using a hatchet to break into a home.

On Saturday morning the Barren County Sheriff's Department responded to a burglary complaint at an elderly female's residence on West First Street in Park City.

50-year-old Constantin Ivan of Suwanee, Georgia was arrested after evidence found he had ran his truck through a fence into the victim's backyard and forced his way into the home by chopping a door open with a hatchet.

Ivan was arrested and charged with burglary in the 2nd degree and two counts of criminal mischief.

He is lodged in the Barren County Jail on a $7,500 dollar cash bond.

    I live in park city and what was once a quiet peaceful neighborhood has turned into the getto.You have to deal with constant fighting,possibly drug overdoses and now burglery!I'm afraid to ask,what's next.I know there are things that go on no matter where you live but enough is enough.
