Bowling Green Accident Leaves 1 Dead, 4 Injured

A wreck on Nashville Road in Bowling Green on Saturday evening left four people injured and one dead.

According to Kentucky State Police, a Ford Focus driven by 50-year-old Florence Jones of Bowling Green was heading southbound on U.S. 31-W just south of Bowling Green.

It collided with a Mercury Mountaineer going northbound driven by 47-year-old Moctor Diop of Franklin.

Both cars were struck in the front on the driver's sides.

The Focus was overturned and the Mountaineer then struck a Chevy pickup truck head-on, driven by 32-year-old Jody Lambert of Bowling Green.

The driver of the overturned Ford Focus, Florence Jones, was killed in the accident.

Moctor Diop was flown to Vanderbilt Hospital, while the others involved were transported to the Medical Center in Bowling Green and Vanderbilt Hospital.

KSP, the Woodburn Fire Department, and Bowling Green Fire Department were all called to assist with this accident.

A portion of U.S. 31-W was shut down for several hours after the accident.

    Well.. It might be a slow recovery but atleast he's at home.. Florence, the one who died, is my aunt and I buried her on Friday.

    I am the mother of Jody Lambert, the driver in the Chevy truck, and I want to thank all who helped in removing, treating and just praying for my son. He is home now recovering slowly from his injuries and I thank God every day for the sparing of his life. Only God could have created the miracle of my son's life.

    how did the patients get to the hospital if there wasnt any ambulances responding to the call?????
