Kentucky State Police say a 1989 Chevy Cavalier driven by 17-year-old Ryan Hayes went off the road during the early morning rain on Friday.

It plunged down an embankment and overturned in the water.

Trooper Steve Pavey said Hayes and two others escaped, but 17-year-old Grayson County High School seniors Anthony Casey and Aaron Barnett could not.

Their bodies were recovered from the vehicle by rescue personnel a short time later. Hayes and two others escaped uninjured.
