The amount of Kentucky residents without jobs has increased over the past year.
This is according to the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training, which reports that unemployment rates have increased in 94 Kentucky counties from October 2006 to October of 2007.
The state agency reports that unemployment rates dropped in 18 counties and remained the same in eight.
The highest jobless rate was 10.2 percent in Jackson County.
Warren and Fayette Counties recorded the lowest jobless rate in the state at 3.7 percent each.
