California Man Under Arrest For Stealing Expensive Puppies

A California man is under arrest for allegedly stealing pricey puppies.

Police say 45-year-old Walter Steward allegedly took 26 dogs from a pet store named Puppy Love.

The thefts took place during two separate burglaries.

It was because of store surveillance video and a partial license plate number from an eyewitness, that led police to Steward's door.

Of the 26 dogs taken only two were recovered from Steward's home.

But that's okay with the store's owner.

"I had goosebumps, we don't want to have guys like this walking around stealing all these puppies," said Tina Ro, pet store owner.

Authorities say the stolen dogs are worth more than $32,000.
