The man who made headlines in the 90's for what many called a racially motivated beating is shot in California.
A Rialto police sergeant says Rodney King was hit in the face and arm by shotgun pellets on a San Bernardino street corner on Nov. 28.
He bicycled to his home in Rialto to call police and was taken to a hospital.
Police say his injuries are not life-threatening.
In 1991, King was beaten by Los Angeles police in an incident caught on videotape.
The officers involved were acquitted on criminal charges the following year, sparking deadly riots.
