Three weeks ago Newscenter Thirteen reported that some stolen tractors were repossessed by the Edmonson County Sheriff's Department. Now the Warren County Sheriff's Department has recovered two tractors that were sold through the same scam.
The sheriff's office received an anonymous tip that an area farmer possessed two stolen tractors. Police say a group of scam artists is calling farmers asking them if they would like to buy a tractor. The group then steals that particular tractor and sells it at a cut rate. Currently the FBI is following up on any leads with information farmers have shared.
