Two Orlando Officers Deliver Baby

Imagine this a mom is in labor, the dad is driving the car and they get lost on the way to the hospital.

That's what happened to one Florida couple.

For a brief moment, two Orlando officers put the fight against crime aside to do the unexpected.

On a two-way radio with 911 dispatch, the two officers got all the information they needed to deliver the baby right in the heart of downtown Orlando.

In no time, the eight pound five ounce baby had arrived outside city hall.

For these officers it's an experience they will never forget.

"It's not all about taking the bad guys to jail, sometimes you get to help people out as well," said Officer Richard Patterson, of the Orlando Police Dept.

After the officers delivered the baby, paramedics rushed him to the hospital.

The mom, dad and baby are all doing very well.
