An Edmonson county resident accused of shooting a Grayson county man turns himself into the police. Authorities say Vernon Jeffrey Patton shot Timothy Tomes in the throat Friday.

Patton turned himself into the Edmonson County's Sheriff's Office Monday morning. He is being held in Grayson County, where the incident occurred, under a $100,000 bond.

Patton is being charged with thre counts of wanton endangerment in the first degree. The Grayson County sheriff's office plans to interview Patton Tuesday afternoon. They hope to discover the motive behind the incident.
