Hospital Security Guard Makes Unexpected Discovery in West Virginia

A security guard at a women and children's hospital in Charleston, West Virginia made an unexpected discovery early Dec. 13.

The guard found a baby wrapped in a shirt and blanket on a bench outside the hospital.

Charleston police say it is a boy, six pounds and 20 inches long.

He appears to have been born about a hour before he was discovered.

An investigation is underway on who left the baby outside the hospital.

We had a similar incident here in South-Central Kentucky in February.

A baby boy was left on a door-step in Franklin, but now baby Daniel has a new permanent home this holiday season.
