Tractor-Trailer Carrying More Than 70 Cattle Flips In Bowling Green

It was a bumpy ride for more than 70 head of cattle, when their tractor-trailer tipped over in Bowling Green the afternoon of Dec. 13.

The accident happened around 12:45 p.m on the ramp entering the William Natcher Parkway from I-65 South.

Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement says John Jones of Missouri was hauling 74 cattle to Colorado from Fountain Run.

His load shifted while rounding the curve to the parkway, causing the rig to overturn.

Two motorists helped the driver out through a window, he wasn't hurt.

Three-to-four cows perished in the accident.

The rest were transferred to another trailer.

The driver was cited to court for state tax and log book violations.
