German exchange students from Bowling Green High School's sister-school in Erfurt, Germany are paying our area a visit.
Gutenberg High School received worldwide media attention after a former student walked into the school and opened fire. The 19-year-old killed 17 people, including himself.
Although still recovering from the tragic event, the group decided not to cancel the planned trip. Seven students and two teachers will spend two weeks in the U.S. While in Kentucky, the German teens will attend various classes and points of interest such as South Union and Mammoth Cave.
