For 23 years the Air Jordan franchise for Nike was a jumping off point for athlete-branded shoes.
Since 1985, a new shoe was introduced each year.
Now 23 years later, some believe this could be the final blast of air.
Whether it is or not, for those who love their Jordan's, the latest edition is a breath of fresh air.
It's all made with a green standard.
The sole is made from recycled rubber from the production of other shoes.
Recycled polyester is used for the lining, and water-based adhesives keep the shoe together.
"Our challenge to ourselves was take our most iconic product with a high performance characteristics and highest design standard, and make it more sustainable," said Nike Spokesman Bob Applegate.
To start, only 23 stores across the country will get limited edition versions of the Air 23, with special packaging.
The cost - $230.
