ITA Artifact Controversy

Native American artifacts found in a cave on the Kentucky Tri-Modal Transpark's property are sparking controversy for some environmentalists.

Three separate consulting firms were brought in by the Transpark to make recommendations on what should be done with the cave.

Transpark officials say they followed all of the recommendations.

However, Roger Brucker, with Karst Environmental Education and Protection, says that's not enough.

He says the cave discovered is large and he wishes the experts probed deeper to see if any other artifacts or problems existed.

Hank Graddy, an attorney in Midway, tells WBKO a group of citizens has hired him to see if the Transpark is complying with all of the legal requirements.
