I guess its a start but not stiff enough. Also, it should not just be a law for cats and dogs. It should be for "any" known abuse to an animal. I also think that the 1st offense should not just be a misdemeanor. Any animal abuse should be a felony.
I think that animal cruelty is stupid and really mean!! How would you like it if someone did that to you? I think that it should become a felony because they say that people who abuse people started out abusing animals!! this is totaly wrong
I believe in harder punishments for animal abuisers;I am an animal owner and love all animals. I don't believe in people or monsters in other words getting by with any animal abuse or neglect.
Please get behind Romeo's Law! We need to protect innocent animals from abuse at the hands of arrogant people... and make those arrogant jerks pay... not just with jail time, but with money too! I agree with Tracey below... It's about time!!!
I hope they do pass this law. "Romeo's Law" It just really makes me sick personally. What ppl. get away with, When it comes to animals. We saved a kitten, that was thrown into a dumpster. The vet said, that he was only too weeks old. He almost died then. He is 4 years old today. But, still lives with problems from then. He had a really bad infection, in his eyes. And even today, his tear ducts, do not work right. And We may have to have him put to sleep soon. It just isn't right. That never should of happened to him. His life should not be cut short because, some jerk thought so little of him. We love him very much. And it's just heart breaking, to watch him sometimes. I really and truly do hope that this law is passed. Maybe, if ppl. started having to really pay. For what they do. To these poor defenseless animals. And not just getting a slap on the hand. They might just think twice. About it next time. So, I say yes!!!... I hope that this law does pass. It's about time!!!
