Hart county resident Richard, who doesn't want his last name revealed, says he made the discovery on a road in Priceville.

"When I drove up, I saw something, didn't know what it was," Richard explains. "I thought it might be a black bear and realized it was a fire, couldn't tell. I pulled right up beside it and looked down. You could definitely tell is was a body. I backed out to keep other people from coming in and called the state police."

In the day since Richard's discovery, police have since identified the body as 34 year old Wendy Sue Logsdon of Louisville. Logsdon was last seen on Friday and was reported missing on Sunday.

"The area she was found in is the Priceville area, which is about five miles east of Cub Run," says trooper Todd Holder of the Kentucky State Police. "It's a very remote area, so someone was basically trying to hide the body or put it in a place it wouldn't readily be found by people."

And with the identity of the body now revealed, Kentucky State Police say that a murder investigation is now underway.

"I hope the party that did this is brought to justice real soon," Richard concludes.
