"The annexation is a simple thing, they requested at the reception in Bowling Green that they wanted to be annexed into the city," said Franklin Mayor Jim Brown.

Mayor Brown says the process for Garvin's RV Park to be annexed is already underway. If the annex is approved, that means the park will be paying taxes to the city of Franklin.

"Probably the biggest impact for us will be the payroll tax."

Franklin has a payroll tax of one percent.

Mayor Brown says there's no surefire way to determine exactly how much more revenue the city will gain in taxes from Garvin's just yet.
