More visitors headed to Bowling Green, but for a different event. Runners and walkers from ages seven to 76 rose early Saturday morning for Bowling Green's only mini-marathon.
The seventh annual 13-mile stretch brought more than 700 participants into Bowling Green, all in a race to raise money to prevent child abuse.
Coordinator's thought of an event for all ages as people participated in a 5-K run, 5-K walk, the mini-marathon, and the pump and run!
Finishers in each event took home a $50 Finish Line gift certificate, plus a free t-shirt, breakfast, and an on-site sports massage!
All proceeds from the Total Fitness Connection Run and Walk for Children will benefit the Family Enrichment Center in hopes of preventing child abuse.
