A house in Bowling Green was like a time machine for those who attended the Great Gatsby Lawn Party.
This evening more than 150 people dressed in theme and enjoyed music, food and each other's company.
It was an event leading up to the 9th Annual Charity Ball on November 16, and both events benefit the Commonwealth Health Free Clinic and Dental Clinic -- 100% of the proceeds go directly to patient care.
"We are so excited. This is our first actual pre-event to the Charity Ball and it's a lawn party. We're trying to bring back the roaring 20s and everyone's dressed out. We've got a bourbon tasting and a great jazz band. It's going to be a lot of fun -- going to be a good night," said Kathy Smith, the development coordinator for the foundation.
She said they always put on a great gala, but this year's will be extravagant with great food, an auction and many people in costume to match the Gatsby theme.
