Soccer players rolled into town for the 11th annual Southern Kentucky Soccer Invitational, bringing around 130 teams from five different states to Bowling Green.

Despite blistering winds and chilly temperatures, the tournament was a success and some of the players say no matter what Mother Nature had in mind, she didn’t stop them from having a good time.

Tournament Committee Member, Dean Jordan, says while Mother Nature doesn’t always cooperate, they try and work around her as much as possible to keep the games going.

Some soccer players and parents say they’ll be back again next year and hopefully Mother Nature will cooperate a little better.
