The driver of the Monarch Environmental garbage truck involved in a serious accident on Thanksgiving Day in 2000, says he saw Shannon Houchin's vehicle approach his truck. Jamie Jones testified in Warren Circuit Court Thursday, the car came over a hill and went airborne, before it skidded into the garbage truck.

Former Monarch employee, Rick Shultz, testified the company never told drivers they could not park on the wrong side of the road. Shannon Houchin still suffers from brain damage she received in this accident. Her family is suing Republic Services, owner of the garbage truck, for damages.
