I buy a lot of things on e-bay.If they go with this I won't buy any thing else.Thats the only way you have checking on anyone.Guess e-bay is about like the government. If they get a system that half way works they will can it.
Ambrose of Ebay is living in fairy tale land if he thinks that all buyers are perfect. It is not just about NOT PAYING - it is about fraud- about trying to get discounts AFTER the sale - and so many other problems - too many to list here. BOYCOTT Feb 18th-25 - NO BUYING _ NO SELLING. Also, there has been some new ideas on how to change the feedback rules without giving absolute power to the buyers. Here are some things I think are important. 1) Require new buyers to go through a tutorial – educating them about shipping cost, how the system works and expectations. 2) Put all negatives for both buyer and seller upfront for 2 months – that way both sellers and buyers can see potential 3) If a buyer or seller has a high percentage (% to be determined by number of buys/sells vs number of negs given/rec) of giving or recf feedback - they can be put on a probation & have to go through additional training. This should deter frivolous negs & retaliatory feedback. If a person knows they only have so many negatives to give they will not want to waste them on minor issues. 4) Neg given by buyers/sellers put on probation should be reviewed and removed when needed. 5) Sellers should be allowed to ban new sellers as a group. If given the option – Especially on my high dollar items - Protects the seller & encourage buyers to buy & not switch to new IDs repeatedly. The newbies account for over 80% of my “too much trouble” to deal with buyers.
