It was a time of prayer, scripture and music at the Interfaith Thanksgiving service at the First Christian Church in Bowling Green.

Area ministers from many faith traditions came together to worship and give thanks for the South Central Kentucky community.

Sunday's service was the first interfaith Thanksgiving celebration but organizers hope to make it an annual event.
