More than 300 people showed at the American Legion in Bowling Green Monday morning for a Memorial Day service.
Veterans say Memorial Day always has a special meaning, especially for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
The Department of Defense says there are still 88,000 Americans missing in action. Earlier this year, the body of a Bowling Green soldier returned home after more than 55 years.
