An afternoon accident in Bowling Green killed a man and left traffic on the Natcher Parkway at a standstill.

Kentucky State Police say, a cattle trailer was Southbound on the Natcher and another tractor trailer slammed into it, not recognizing the slow speed of the trailer.

A Toyota Tundra approached the accident and didn't notice the trailers were stopped, causing a second accident.

State Police say Christopher Ritchie of Muhlenberg County who was in the Tundra was killed and the others were out of the second collision.

All of the lanes on the Natcher were opened back up early in the evening.
